Every job is different — here's what moves the price, and why a real fixed quote within 24 hours beats a misleading per-metre rate.
You'll find plenty of websites quoting a concrete price by the square metre. The problem is that two jobs of exactly the same area can cost very different amounts once site access, ground conditions, reinforcement requirements and finish choice are taken into account.
A flat rate set low enough to attract attention will leave out the excavation, the steel, the formwork or the clean-up — and those costs arrive as variations at the end of the job. A rate set high enough to cover everything will overcharge simple jobs.
Building concrete across Greater and Western Sydney since 2012, we measure every site before we price it. One team manages the whole job — design, excavation, pour and finish — with one point of contact accountable start to finish. The quote you receive is the price you pay.
Understanding these helps explain why every job is priced on its own details.
The total area being poured is the starting point. Shape matters too — complex layouts with curves, steps or feature jointing take more formwork time than a straight rectangle.
A wide-open driveway with truck access is straightforward. Tight lanes, overhead obstacles, narrow side passages or steeply graded blocks all affect how the pour is set up and managed.
The amount of material to be removed, the soil type and whether an existing surface needs demolishing all affect the prep component of the quote. Good sub-base preparation is what makes concrete last — it cannot be cut short.
A residential driveway has different reinforcement requirements to a commercial hardstand or a house slab. Soil conditions, load expectations and the applicable standard determine the steel specification and slab thickness.
Plain brushed concrete requires the least finishing time. Coloured concrete, cove finish and exposed aggregate each add steps and materials. A premium exposed aggregate finish takes more skill and time than a plain slab of the same area.
If the job includes a council crossover, layback, or kerb and gutter, those works are quoted as part of the same package. Having one team manage the whole entrance — from the kerb to the garage slab — saves time and coordination.
One fixed price covers the whole scope — nothing added at the end.
No guessing, no vague ranges — one real number based on your job.
We come to your site, measure the area, assess the ground conditions and talk through the finish you're after. This is where the accurate numbers come from — not a guessed figure from a photo or a postcode.
Within 24 hours of the site visit, you receive an itemised fixed-price quote covering the full scope. No deposit is required to receive the quote, and there is no obligation to proceed.
If you approve the quote, the price is locked in. One team manages the whole job — from excavation through to the finished surface — with one point of contact accountable start to finish. The price you approved is the price you pay.
No deposit. No obligation. One itemised price based on your actual site.
