Coloured Concrete Sydney

Through-colour oxide concrete for driveways, pool surrounds, paths and patios across Greater and Western Sydney — managed start to finish by one team, one point of contact, accountable start to finish.

What Is Coloured Concrete?

Coloured concrete uses iron oxide pigments blended directly into the concrete mix before it is poured. The colour runs through the full depth of the slab — not a surface coating, stain or paint that can peel or wear away. If the surface chips or scratches, you see the same colour all the way through.

Oxide pigments are UV-stable, meaning they resist fading far better than surface-applied dyes. The finish is available in a wide range of tones from earthy naturals through to deeper, bolder shades. Laying concrete across Greater and Western Sydney since 2012, one team manages the whole job from excavation to the final finish.

  • Colour through the full depth — not a surface coating
  • UV-stable iron oxide pigments — resists fading
  • Works across all surfaces — driveways, pool surrounds, paths, patios

  • Pairs with brushed, plain or cove edge finishes

Where We Lay Coloured Concrete

One consistent colour across your whole property — not just the driveway.

Driveways

A coloured driveway lifts your home's street presence without the premium of exposed aggregate. Available in any oxide tone, finished plain, brushed or with cove edging. See our coloured concrete driveways →

Pool Surrounds

A neutral tone — Sandstone, Limestone, Pebble — reads cool next to water and matches most pool finishes. The concrete is finished with a fine broom texture for slip resistance around the pool edge.

Paths & Walkways

Side paths, garden walkways and front entries poured in the same oxide tone as the driveway for a clean, consistent look right around the property.

Patios & Outdoor Areas

Alfresco areas, courtyards and entertaining spaces finished in a tone that ties in with your home's exterior. One colour, one team, one job — start to finish.

How Coloured Concrete Is Laid

One team manages the whole job from excavation to the final finish — one point of contact, accountable start to finish.

1

Excavate & Prepare

We excavate to the required depth, remove the spoil, compact the subgrade and form up the slab. Any existing surface is broken out and taken away as part of the job.

2

Colour & Pour

The oxide pigment is blended into the concrete mix before the pour. We place reinforcement, pour the slab and consolidate the mix — the colour is through the full depth from the moment it goes down.

3

Finish the Surface

Once poured, the surface is trowelled, then finished plain, with a brushed texture or a cove edge — whichever finish you chose when we quoted. Sawcut joints are placed to control cracking.

4

Cure & Seal

The slab is cured properly to build strength, then sealed to protect the colour and surface. You can usually walk on it within a few days and use it fully after around 28 days.

Coloured Concrete Questions Answered

Coloured concrete uses iron oxide pigments mixed directly into the concrete before it is poured. Because the colour is added to the mix itself, it runs through the full depth of the slab — not just a surface coating or stain that can wear away. The result is a durable, attractive finish that suits driveways, pool surrounds, paths, patios and any other outdoor concrete surface.
Yes. The oxide pigment is blended into the concrete mix before it is poured, so the colour runs through the full thickness of the slab. This means chips, scratches and normal wear do not expose a different-coloured core underneath — the surface stays consistent for the life of the concrete.
Iron oxide pigments are UV-stable and do not fade the way surface dyes or paints do. Colour intensity can reduce slightly in the first few months as the concrete cures and carbonates at the surface, which is normal. Sealing the surface after it cures protects it and helps maintain an even, consistent tone over time.
We can pour coloured concrete for driveways, pool surrounds, paths and walkways, patios, outdoor entertaining areas and other concreting surfaces. The same oxide mix is used across all surface types, so you can run one consistent colour across the whole property.
We carry a wide range of oxide tones and can work with you to get close to a colour you have in mind. Screen representations and printed samples are a guide only — the finished colour is affected by the cement batch, water ratio, curing conditions and the sealer applied. We recommend viewing a physical sample before you choose.
Yes, we recommend sealing coloured concrete. A quality sealer enhances the depth of colour, protects the surface from oil, stains and weathering, and makes cleaning easier. Resealing every few years keeps the surface looking at its best.
